Scottish National Indoor Combined Events Championships, Saturday 14th March 2015

Congratulations to Jenny Brydon, Skye Marshall, Lynn Harvey, Eilish De Swarte and Euan Johnston who represented the Club at the Scottish National Indoor Combined Events Championships yesterday, competing in the Pentathlon where they tackled the 60m Hurdles,  Shot Putt, High Jump, Long Jump and 800m events.

Jenny won the gold medal in the U13 Girls Pentathlon with a score of 2301 points, an indoor Club record, eclipsing the previous mark of 2092 set by Jennifer Wright in 1991. Skye finished in 7th place with 1972 points, Lynn in 8th place with 1729 and Eilish in 20th place with a score of 1336. All set Personal Bests in many of the events.

Euan took the silver medal in the U13 boys event with a score of 1795, a new Pitreavie club record. Both Euan and gold medal winner Reuben Nairne of Giffnock North surpassed the previous Championship best of 1770 points. Euan also broke his existing Club indoor record of 10.33s for the 60m hurdles, clocking 10.09s.

Well done to all the athletes on their performances throughout the day - and to the coaches who support them in training for the various events!
