The annual awards night was this year held on Friday 27th March in Rosyth Civil Service Club. This annual event recognises athletes young and old in various areas of T&F, Cross Country and Road Running and also recognises volunteres. There are often people who ask why some of the Track & Field events are often quite specific, for example the Best U15 girl at a Scottish Champs. This is due to the trophies being donated for a specific reason, with some of these trophies have been awarded for many years. In total we have nearly 40 awards.
Paul Allan announced the winners and two of our Life Members, Graham McDonald and Vonny Burke presented the trophies. We finished off the night with some dancing to the disco.
We also presented a photo montage created by Steve Adam. This holds some very poignant memories from over the past year and will hopefully offer some inspiration as we prepare to kick off the Summer season. Steve won our new Volunteer of the Year award and when you watch the montage I am sure you will agree he is a very worthy winner.
The night, like always, was a great success and it was great to see a lot of new faces. A full list of the award winners is on the awards page along with a link to the photo montage.
