National Junior League Match 2 – Liverpool (27th May 2007) Kingdom Athletic went to the 2nd match at a very wet and cold Wavertree Stadium in Liverpool.
With the school exams the team were hit hard with unavailable athletes meaning the team was much smaller than the first match,it was an opportunity for a few of the younger athletes to compete for the team.
To add to the already tough task facing the smaller team, a few injuries on the day to key athletes meant the team was stretched even more but the effort from all who travelled was excellent and the team finished in 7th place on the day with a brilliant return of 2 A string victories, 5 B String victories, 1 League record and an amazing 20 personal bests.

National Junior League Match 4 – Wrexham (16th July 2006) Match 4 of the Northern Premier Division took place at Queens Park, Wrexham in extremely hot conditions.
With this match clashing with the British Schools International and the AAA’s it meant a few crucial athletes were missing and thanks go to the ones who competed at the schools on the Saturday and travelled to help the team out straight afterwards. With the team sitting in 2nd overall we knew it was going to be tough to hold onto this place with Trafford breathing down our necks. It proved to be as such as Trafford pulled out all the stops to win the match and combined with our missing athletes it proved too much to cling onto the 2nd overall spot. But as always the team performed brilliantly to take 5th place on the day to finish in 3rd overall. This now means Kingdom are into the Paper match to reach the final something we never thought possible at the start of the season so a BIG well done to all the athletes. The team completed the day with another superb return of 9 PBs, 4 A string victories and 3 B.

National Junior League Match 3 – Wakefield (11th June 2006) Match 3 of the Northern Premier Division took place at Thorne Park, Wakefield in Glorious conditions (not for the long events though).
With this match clashing with the Scottish Schools Championships it was fantastic that so many athletes were willing to travel down right after they competed at the schools on the Saturday to compete for a 3rd day in some cases. A few were understandably tired but still gave their all for the team with others never ceasing to amaze everyone with more outstanding performances. With the team sitting in 2nd overall another fine performance would see them be in with a shout of the final with the one match left and the team did not let anyone down with another excellent 3rd place on the day. The team completed the day with another superb return of 22 PBs, 4 A string victories and 3 B String victories to finish in 3rd place on the day.
