New personal best for John over 5,000m and speedy but windy time for Ryan.

Pitreavie distance runner John Newsom and young sprint talent Ryan Oswald represented the Scottish Eastern District team at the CGU Inter Counties Championships at Bedford over the holiday weekend.

Ryan placed 6th in his 100m heat in a time of 10.75 assisted by a +2.9 wind. John recorded a personal best for 5,000m of 14:31.62 despite the windy conditions to place 7th.
