January Tom Mitchell took the win in the 1st Handicap race of the year finishing in 37:32. Tom was followed in by Barry Davie in 2nd, clocking 31:23. Third place went to Neil MacLachlan who clocked 32:38. There were 28 finishers in January..
February Charles Hunter raced round the course to take the win in the 2nd Handicap race of the year finishing in 37:24. ‘Chic’ was followed in by Stephen Skene in 2nd, who clocked 31:47. Third place this month went to Pam Gilfillan who clocked 38:32. There were 27 finishers in February..
March Cary Holt clocked a PB to win the 3rd Handicap race of the year finishing in 36:37. Cary was followed in by Irene Miller in 2nd, who clocked 41:59. Third place this month went to Andrew LeGood who clocked 34:53. There were 31 finishers in March..
April Pam Pattison took the win at the 4th Handicap race of the year finishing in 39:51. Pam was followed in by Pam Gilfillan in 2nd place, who clocked a PB 37:19. Third place went to Frank Coyle who finished in 34:17. Sadly there were only 13 finishers in April, the lowest turnout in many months.
May Louise Dallas won the 5th Handicap race of the year finishing in 38:40. Ann Davidson was 2nd, clocking 44:04. Third place went to Fred Wyatt who finished in 35:09. Fred also received a cheque for £250 from Ladies Road Running Captain Christine Garvie after his name was drawn out at the Dunfermline Half Marathon as the lucky winner of a competition they were running. There were 31 finishers in May.
June Evelyn Turner was first in the 6th Handicap race of the year and finishing in 42:05. Tom Mitchell followed up his win back in January with a 2nd place, clocking 34:53. Third place went to Bizzy Cleary who finished in 42:15. There were 30 finishers in June. Pictures will be added later.
July Frank Coyle folowed up his third place in April by winning the race in 34:33. Ever improving Jamie Garvie was second in 35:35, with the `flying` Neil MacLachlan breaking the 30 minute mark for the first time, clocking 29:55. There were only 21 finishers in July, most probably down to holidays - and apologies, no photos for July.
August Barry Davie got in the top 3 for the 2nd time this year by taking the win in the 7th Handicap race finishing in 30:38. Barry was followed in by Louise Dallas in 2nd, clocking 37:45(PB). Third place went to Ronnie Ritchie who clocked 34:21. There were 26 finishers in August.
September Dave McQueen won the 9th and final Handicap race of the year finishing in 40:49. Junior, Sarah Ross was 2nd clocking 39:39. While for third place we had a dead heat for the 1st time between Lynn Law and Susan Duncan both finishing in 48:48. There were 30 finishers in September.
