Pitreavie AAC Endurance

All you need to know about endurance running with Pitreavie AAC

7 Pitreavie athletes got top 3 positions in Track and Field at the 4J Studios National Senior / U17 Indoor Championships in Glasgow.  Sam Turnbull jumped well to gain top spot in the U17 men’s High Jump, with a PB of 1.91m, 12cm above his closest competitor Cameron Forbes of Edinburgh AC.  Following her success at the 300m U17 in Glasgow at the National Indoor Opens on the 18th January, Rebecca Grieve came 2nd in the same event in 40:36s, with Jenna Breen from City of Lisburn AC 1st in 39:98s.   Sophie Wallwork, in the 200m U17, also finished with a 2nd place in 25:62s, improving on her time of 25:97s at the National Indoor Opens.  The 800m men saw Ewan Dyer get 3rd place with 1:52:68s, also improving on his time of 1:53:37s the previous weekend, just behind Guy Learmonth and Cameron Steven of Lasswade AC who achieved 1st and 2nd respectively.  Arslan Arif, who’s only recently started competing for Pitreavie, was placed 3rd in the 60m hurdles. With 9.23s.

The field events also saw successful Pitreavie performances, with Kara Coalter jumping 3.34m to come 2nd in the women’s Pole Vault after a 1 year break.  Chuxx Onyia was 3rd in the Triple Jump with 15.58m, jumping 8cm further than at the National Opens.  Stephen Mackenzie was 4th in the Men’s Long Jump, with a jump of 7.33m, with Dylan Thomson 4th in the Men’s Pole Vault on 4.14m.
