4J Studio Virtual SUPERteams Halfway Stage

Pitreavie youngsters are taking part in the annual SUPERteams competition for 9-12 year olds, this time virtually from home.   The competition consists of 4 events – Sprints, Throws, Jumps and Endurance – spread over 4 weeks with each event period lasting a week.  Individual athletes results are awarded points, and athletes grouped into teams of 4, allowing the U12s to compete individually, as well as in teams against other clubs.

 

Results are in at the halfway stage after Sprints (75 m shuttle run - 15 x 5 metres) and Throws (landing a pair of socks in a container 20 times, with each hit scoring 5 points).  Pitreavie A Girls team currently places 6th on 355 points, with the Boys A team placing 8th, also on 355 points.  Ross Allan was the highest Pitreavie overall scorer, performing very well with 60 points for each of his events, and a great time of 27.8 sec for sprints.  Christy Cameron’s excellent 26.7 sec sprint gave her 66 points, the highest single score from Pitreavie, with Mia Fairweather close behind on 65 points from throws and 64 for her 27.2 sec sprint.  

 

The Girls A team were Mia Fairweather on 129 points, Mia Fulton 100 points (55 sprints and 45 throws), Isla Gourlay on 95 points (60 sprints and 35 throws), and Bonnie Seath on 93 points (48  sprints and 45 throws).  The Boys A team individual scorers were Ross Allan on 120 points, Ruaridh Law (94 points – 54 sprints and 40 throws), Daniel Forbes 92 points (52 Sprints and 40 Throws), and Fraser Muir 88 points (48 sprints and 40 throws).  

 

The other youngsters representing Pitreavie were Christy Cameron with 91 points (66 sprints and 25 throws), Callum Wood 81 points (41 sprints and 40 throws), Zara Webster on 76 points (41 sprints and 35 throws), Sam Parker with 65 points (30 sprints and 35 throws), Faye Allan on 62 points (22 sprints and 40 throws), Lewis Greig on 50 points (40 sprints and 10 throws), and Esme Deacon on 48 points (38 sprints and 10 throws).
