The ever popular over 31k endurance relay race organised by Fife AC took place in The Lomond Hills on 25th January. Pitreavie AAC’s Endurance section entered 4 teams, with 6 runners in each team taking one of the 4 relay legs, either solo or in pairs. In a change to previous years, all legs started and finished in Falkland, with the massed 900 plus runners and plentiful supporters making for a great atmosphere. In typical fashion, the cloudless weather forecast changed to low cloud on the day, providing challenging conditions up on the peaks.
Pitreavie Old Boys came in overall 33rd 151 teams in 4 hours 14.56mins (6th out of 18 in the Open 40+ category), Pitreavie Young Team in 4 hours 54.15mins, Pitreavie Much Hillarity in 5 hours 14.37mins and Pitreavie Goateaze in 5 hours 18.25mins. Great performances as many were new to hill running.
