S.A.T.S (The Scottish Association of Track Statisticians) has selected Eilidh Child third in the annual Scottish Athlete of the Year list, behind GB World & Olympic representatives Andrew Lemoncello and Lee McConnell.

The 2008 edition of the Scottish Athletics Year Book, published last week, includes a ranking list of Scotland`s top athletics clubs.

Pitreavie Athletes were in fine form at the Scottish Senior Closed Championships and East District Junior Championships at Meadowbank on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May 2008. The clubs athletes picked up a phenomenal 5 Gold’s, 11 Silvers and 8 Bronze medals.

Pitreavie’s youngsters were again in action in the Young Athletes League at Grangemouth on Sunday 4th May 2008.
With school exams upon us the team had a lot of athletes missing resulting in the club only managing to finish in 7th place on the day. Despite the lack of numbers those that could compete did themselves and the club proud.

Eilidh Child was in record breaking form at the British University Championships in Bedford over the weekend of 3rd-5th May 2008. Competing for Edinburgh University Child in her first outing of the season over the 400m Hurdles broke the championship record with a time of 58.03s to take the title.

National Junior League Northern Premier Division
Match 1 – Leeds (27th April 2008)
Kingdom Athletic were back in action in the National Junior League Northern Premier Division. The first visit to Leeds proved to be an experience for the team and not for the best in a lot of cases as the organisation of the match was pathetic. This didn’t deter the athletes who all competed to their usual high standards.
