Pitreavie had 4 athletes competing at the English Under 23 Championships over the weekend of 27th and 28th June. The championships also doubled as the European Under 23 Trials.

A host of club athletes were in action at Pitreavie athletics centre as it hosted the Scottish Senior Track & Field and Junior Relay Championships for 2009. With a few guest athletes brought in to spice things up along with some local favourites the crowd were treated to an excellent weekend of athletics.

At the Josef Odlozil Memorial meeting in Prague last night (Mon 8th) , Eilidh Child broke her PB for the 400m Hurdles for the third time this season when she finished 2nd in 55.46 secs which is faster than the A standard qualification time (55.50) for the World Athletics Championships being held later this year in Berlin.

Pitreavie’s young athletes were competing in the second match of the Young athletes league at Grangemouth Stadium on Sunday 17th May 2009.
While a selection of the seniors were competing at the Loughborough International on the same day and there was also the Hammerama on the Saturday 16th.
