I have to say (and Debbie will agree with me), it is with a bit of relief that the Trophy Meeting is done for another year and we hope all who took part had a great day. This event is run by volunteers and as costs have risen dramatically in recent years coupled  with a new team organising it we hope our stresses didn't show and we did the day justice. We are already in the process of reviewing what went well and what we can improve on and any feedback about the event is welcome. Our main review next year will start with looking at the events on offer and we hope to provide a broader balance of run, jumps and throws across the various age groups.

Thanks to everyone who helped, there are too many to mention but you know who you are! Personally I would like to give a wee special mention to Martin Carr (a young athlete) who organised and set up the chocolate tombola stall which was genius! That and the hook-a-duck raised £160 for club funds, which along with the cafe (thanks ladies!) means we will not run the event  at a loss.

Anyway, enough of me prattling on...onto the important stuff! The results are now available along with a link to photos (thanks to our resident photographer Steve) :

Young Athletes' Trophy Meeting

So to sum up, thank you thank you to all the volunteers, but most of all thank you to our wonderful young athletes who came and competed and made the day a great event to host.
