Following on from the succes of the first youth club social night the next one will be held on Friday 16th January in the clubhouse. Tickets can be purchased from myself and Michelle Riley during training nights priced £2.50 but anyone can just turn up on the night and pay at the door.
We have a few more activities than last time. There will be game consoles such as the Xbox 360 and the Wii (fifa is quite popular) and we have activities such as pool and table tennis. We have stalls to buy stuff from such as the tattoo stall and the nail bar. For athletes who love their phones there will be a WiFi hotspot (hopefully) setup and permanent WiFi will be setup by the next Social Night. Parents and small children are welcome too for a cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and a film while the kids play. Food and drink, such as juice and cakes, will be included in the price of tickets however more items can be purchased at the cafe which will be run by Ali Johnston and Michelle Riley. Other games and activities along with music will also be available.
Donations such as bakery items are very welcome. Also if anybody would like to help out or suggest a few ideas for future Social Nights please do. For more information please contact myself. Credit for organising the Social Nights also goes to our group of parents Ali Johnston, Michelle Riley, Christine Marsh and Sandra Davie. Credit also goes to the Age Group and Vice Captains along with our new Athlete Representative Lexie Cook. Lastly credit goes to Nicola Moriarty who has volunteered to help at our Social Nights.
I hope to see a lot of athletes next week. It's a way to raise a bit of money for the club while having a lot of fun.
